Week 15 Complete-Total Weekly Miles=19

Our last weekend run and of course it has to rain!!! But it was nice to have the whole gang back together again one last time before the MARATHON!!! It was a misty, cool 8 mile loop beginning at Manito Duck Pond up to 57th off High Drive and back to Manito. It's amazing how 8 miles seemed so short compared to all our previous Saturday runs. Thanks for a great run ladies!

  1. You ladies are so amazing! Just the look on your faces says it all. As I look at you I can't help feel what you are all feeling. You ladies inspire me. In fact, you inspired me so much that I decided to run the half. Thank you.

I know the work you've put in and done. It's not easy. It takes so much time, sweat and determination, but because you've all trained diligently you will have the race of your life! There's nothing like crossing the finish line after all those endless hours of training. I'm not sure what your plans are after but marathons are funny, kinda like child birth. You go through 9 months of feeling awful, craving foods you know that will make you sick, the child birth itself and after all that work and the bundle of joy arrives, you forget quickly the pain and aches you had and you do it again. As with a marathon. Overwhelming emotions you can’t control start happening around mile 25. Your lips will start to quiver, your eyes will start to well up with tears, both from shear exhaustion but mostly of OMG I did it! I worked my ass off and I'm here. It's a natural high one can't explain, but that one has to experience and at that moment I truly believe is where you get hooked :) Yes just one more marathon just to see if you get the same feeling. You will and ya know what? There will be another, and another, and another. It keeps us young ladies!!!! Keep running! YOU LADIES ARE GOING TO ROCK SPOKANE! WAY TO GO!
